Ó

You can play gamecube games on psp using my method of location free player.

Soon I will be making a psp application to make it faster, response controll faster and connecting the ir port to the receiver of the wavebird controller to make the psp controlls to controll it over an wifi hotspot. its not fake!

I will post more details to come later after I make the hombrew application!

 4.  » Impressive...

What would really catch Everybodies attention would be if this location free player thing could work with a ps2!..now that would be amazing.

 5.

it could work with a ps2 but I don't have one! and it could work with a 360!

by obiwan22 , at Feb 07, 2007 at 02:10PM

 6.  » 360

I think the 360 is the best place for this! I mean, you can turn it off and on then! Also, this might not be the best solution with controls, but I think that if some one worked at it, they could make an app using the prx from it, but have it map the controls better!

looks like you took your time with it.

 8.  » Figured out the method

Recorded a gameplay vid and it's playing through, btw, controller press not synching with the onscreen gave it away.

 9.  » Hahahaha

Ahahaha...Dis guy Got seriously Booked by Andy....ok then obiwan..If this is really true..then prove it that you are using it it..tell us how you did it..or better yet tell me how i could use it with the ps2!

by SnYpEr WoLf , at Feb 07, 2007 at 04:50PM

 10.  » noobs

this is real fools.....if you followed the PSP and LF news, you would know that this is known to work but on a delay (both button reaction and screen is delayed, add them togather and you get severe lag) do research next time before yelling FAKE!

by , at Feb 07, 2007 at 06:19PM

 11.

ok guys, this is the deal, I'm working on a application to make this faster and I'll post another video tommorrow to show it booting up location free and playing wii or gamecube! but btw someone tommorrow will post a video with the 360!!!!!!

by obiwan22 , at Feb 07, 2007 at 07:15PM

 12.  » hmmm

How about the ps2??? ..Theres a higher majority on PSP forums that thjey would have a Ps2?

by SnYpEr WoLf , at Feb 08, 2007 at 06:02AM

 13.  » Such a fake

the psp cant reproduce all of the colours that a tv (LCD,CRT,DLP, ETC) can with its LCD screen, plus even though u could play ur cube on ur psp usin locationfree, why would u want to, worse quality and tinny sound, ooh great...

I never thought such a fake could be so obvious...becuze i still have yet to see this " Tutorial" as said... so sadd...little 10 year olds tryin to be pros..but failing...everytime

by SnYpEr WoLf , at Feb 08, 2007 at 07:27PM

 16.  » FOR THE LAST TIME!

Its not fake! Its also not what people where expecting, BUT it kinda a proof of concept, if we can get someone to use the location free .prx, and work out the timing (if there is lag) the we might be able to get it to work!

Although, it may be better off not being done, because face it, how many of us own a location free player? (on my list of things to get, but it is low on my list)

Looks to me like its a kid wanting attention

by Unregistered (Unregistered), at Feb 09, 2007 at 02:09PM

 18.  » Just Face It....

If he was an attention whore, we gave him what he wanted, but also note, they put this on the front page! (well, the same thing, not this though) And, it is clear that this is a method, it just sucks! Accept the fact that you never thought to turn on your gamecube, and use your location free player to play it! (although, so very few of us have both!.....I mean, I have the gamecube, but even less have the location free!)

 19.  » lol

lmfao I can't believe that some people actually think this real

by me (Unregistered), at Feb 10, 2007 at 02:01PM

 20.  » lol

lmfao i can't believe some people actually dont realize that its just a gamecube's video signal being transmitted live to the psp through a locationfree player onto the psp using it's locationfree player option, and because of the locationfree's cache delay there is an obvious lag between the time the button is pressed and the video response. THERE IS NO EMULATION. THE GAMECUBE DOES ALL THE WORK. THE PSP IS JUST THE GAMECUBE'S TV.

by PotFarmer (Unregistered), at Feb 10, 2007 at 03:50PM

 21.  » Its not true emulation.....

BUT It is a method, face it, if this didnt lag, and was 100% usable, and you even had a locationfree player, you would use it. I know you would. People have used the ps1 emu and the n64 emu since the start, and those sucked back then! PS1 emu never had a chance, but then popstation came out, and eliminated the need for it......

I dont think the n64 emu will ever work fully, but its getting there! But face it, if you could do this, you would!

by not ture (Unregistered), at Feb 11, 2007 at 11:17AM

 22.

NO you are a retartd, I hav edone this with my N64 and location free player. Try actually playing a game that requires real time reactions, you cant play the games because there is a time delay. This si not an emualtor it is a TV that is really delayed. Plus, you need to be able to use the psp's buttons in order fo rit to be called an emulator for the psp. Technically I ahve plugged my ipod into the location free player had the movies kick out through that onto the psp through the Locationf ree player, so i could say "Ipod emualtor on PSP!"? No i couldn't because that would be a lie.

by PotFarmer (Unregistered), at Feb 11, 2007 at 12:17PM

 23.  » I just noticed.........

I just saw that he never uses the word emulator, or emu, or anything to imply that it is an emulator, he said concept or method! Thus, this is just a proof of concept, yes we know it works, yes we know right now its not practical, but it works, that is just what he was trying to show!

Im sorry i lept into your trap to piss me of! BUT you guys are just immature *****gots, who cant accept that some one can come up with an idea that isnt perfect and not have every flame them!

I was just trying to be the devils advocate and point out some of the possible potential, and you guys have to be little bastards about it!

I think you are the pesky little kid who made this video and are defending yourself not 'devils advocate'. This is 'PEE WEE sherman signing off!' that was your voice on the lame ass video! You are soooo cool!

 28.  » You know what.........

Ok, I was the users F U, and not true........ And you know what, you are just being an ass! I did not create that video......Hell, I havent even watched it! I was just trying to say that there is potential in this, trying to keep the idea alive! Alot of people didnt think that many of the USBHost plugins were verry good when they first came out, but look at them now! I would say that they contain some of the favorite plugins! Oh, and I have another thing, but it wont post right so visit this link: http://psp-temple.com/finger.txt

It would be neat if you could figure out how to play the gamecube games with the psp only- like where you use the psp controls

If you go further than that, then it could become a good thing for those with an LF or similar device.

'tis good for a POC, imo.
