Playstation Pointable

For all of you advanced homebrew coder/developers out there that would love a challenge, then boy do I have a challenge for you. I recently had to do a power point presentation, and I had to be real creative. The problem I was having made me mad, I inserted my jump drive into the usb port and it kept loading. I waited for 5 minutes, and the teacher got totally mad, so I had to take a zero on my presentation. So I was hoping maybe someone if possible cool create a power point program for PSP. This way all I have to do is put it on my memory stick duo, load up the program, then let everyone watch amazed at how my PSP can support .ppt files. So how about it everyone if you like the idea try and do it for us kids that hate presentations, but want to make a great impression.

dude when you save the .ppt file in powerpoint, instead of saving it as a powerpoint presentation, save it as a jpeg picture (go to the drop down menu where it says "ALL FILES" or POWERPOINT PRESENTATION and select JPEG Ineterchange Format). Then, put the folder that it created onto ur psp in ms0:/PSP/PHOTO and load it up with ur psp. The slideshow will start but all animation will be lost. Hope this helps, and dont take crap from ur teacher.

Hey look everyone, *****nuts is back. How cool is that? Hey *****nuts, you forgot to post about how much of a tard you are because you were proven wrong. They released Devhook with 2.82, then 3.00, then 3.02 all within two and a half weeks of your tard post. Now that you're back, and we know you're a tard, and you know you're a tard, and we know that you're not dead, you need to post about how much of a tard you are like you GAVE YOUR WORD that you would. Or is your word to be proven as useless as you are? Oh, and while I'm at it:

1) You are lazy, but not lazy enough to not bother posting stupid crap unfortunately.
2) Oh god, not powerpoint presentations! How can you ever be expected to live!
3) I thought you went on a while ago about how you knew how to code. So code.
Oh, and four: THIS IS NOT A GAME IDEA, NUMBNUTS. At least get your retard lazy header correct, if you're gonna be too lazy to do anything except detract from the scene by merely existing. Holy crap.

 6.  » No.

I want to impress the teachers, not make it like just a photo. I mean what un is it without the animation.

 7.  » fool

immpressing your teacher is not worth hours of my time coding...

If you really like homebrew, great. But most devs are busy with their own projects...not looking through mind numbing posts for ideas...

seriously, don't bother us devs...

...if you want a h.b. APP made, learn c/c++ or lua and make it yourself...or become friends with a dev...

by armez (Unregistered), at Dec 13, 2006 at 11:43AM

 8.  » Hmmm.

Heres the reasons I think armez is not a dev.
1.) he's not registered
2.) I have never heard of him nor seen his work.
I could be wrong though. Anyway no I didn't say you had to make it, I just thought it would be a cool idea, I mean imagine going to school bringing out your shiny 250$ PSP, then showing this amazing program, and them seeing power point on it, now they would want to buy a PSP. But when they do no power point. So they would come to us then we direct them to pspupdates :)

In true Johnny McKinney style (ie Stupid) this would not be a hombrew game as stated in his headline...

Homebrew requests are not allowed on QJ.net too.

by dude (Unregistered), at Dec 13, 2006 at 01:25PM

 11.  » @dude

Guess what it aint really a request, it's an idea. I don't care if it is an app I say if its for the PSP and it's entertainment, then it's a game.

 12.  » and I quote:

"boy do I have a challenge for you."
"So I was hoping maybe someone if possible cool create a power point program for PSP"
"try and do it for us"

Not a request?

1)haven't had time to post until recently

2) I don't typical release my stuff because so many people act retarded around homebrew...

3) Porting power point would be difficult at best...

4) The psp's screen is kinda small don't you think?

5) I know you didn't think about it, but there is a bad side to increasing the number of people with psps...Noobs...

6) If you really want to show off a cool app, show them IRshell, or PiMP Streamer..

I'd probably be more impressed by those 2 than power point...

 15.  » wow wow be carefull...

the idea isn't bad...ppt on psp
if you want this to be something real try finding reasons why it could' be usefull for other persons NOT ONLY FOR YOU .
loading fromm your usb... had JUST THE SAME PROBLEM 2 YEARS AGO really i do ...but my teacher was soft on me and gave me another chance (he had no usbdrive ...moron) so i put my ppt on a cd ...and it worked.nowwww making this would' be sooooooo unusfull that devs wont make it...maybe for fun thow

1 more thing...I HAIT PEOPLE THAT POST MORONIC THINGS OR REQUESTS ON MY QJ >:P

What's the point of having a powerpoint presentation on a PSP if then you can't present it to an audience due to the small screen? After all, that's the point of powerpoint, right?

You want to impress your teacher? make a good work instead of showing off your toys.

 17.  » .

I know im posting WAY friggin late, but to impress YOUR teacher is not done by using someone elses creation and claiming its yours. as if you didnt do that, then how could the teacher be impressed by anything you done? he/she would be impressed by what the coder did, not you. all you did was download someone elses stuff and SHOWED it to someone else....wow impressive.
