Ó

I still have'nt gotten an anser to this.very weird...My PSP has been semi-bricked and well the only way i can recover is by downgrading to 1.5 using the recovery mode. But for some reason the recovery option of running the EBOOT freezes everytime i choose it...anyone know of a similar problem or found a fix to this?..Becuase if you do then it would be greatly appreciated..if you need a video to see what i am trying to say ill gladly provide one.

 3.  » here's some help

you probably have your recovery folder in the wrong folder it needs to be in the game folder not the game150 or game303, and if thats the problem u may be out of luck since u said your psp is semi bricked- youll need to get a memory card reader for the computer to change that prolly, I had the same problem I was just running it to see if it would work and dont u know I installed it to the game150 folder and it did freeze, when i put it in the "game" folder it ran like a charm. Hope this helps

How did you brick it?

 8.  » simple

All i did was upgrade straight to 3.03 OE A from 1.5 and it just didnt start up it just kept on restarting itself..so its semi bricked becuze it kant do anything. And the recovery mode works but it just freezes when i choose to run the eboot in recovery mode.i flashed the psp with systemctrl.prx from 3.02 OE B to make it stop rebooting..but now it freezes..normally it supposed to let me run the recovery eboot..and yes my 1.5 update it UPDATE.PBP..any ideas?

 17.  » .......

that is so stupid, when in 271se or 302se or 202se
all homebrew gets executed from 150 kernel, and you cant upgrade from 150 to 150:P(duh)
you have to find the update 2.00 rename it correctly, place it correctly, then it will work, en from 2.00 use mph downgrader to 1.50, i always use this method, and it works perfect..........

please next time,
do your homework........:(

 18.  » ok

Get the 1.50 version of systemctrl.prx and flash it through recovery, then you should be able to run an updater or downdater..

by DuRoLuRo (Unregistered), at Jan 10, 2007 at 06:04AM

 19.  » To Belmont

Belmont: Uh, dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. Given that I've flashed from firmware 2.71-SE to firmware 1.50 AND from firmware 3.02-OE-A2 to 1.50, it works just fine. Doesn't matter what's ON the IPL or Flash0/Flash1, so long as the flasher you are using supports your current firmware version and motherboard. Running 1.50 nearly any flasher will work, and even on a TA-082 once you run the idstorage fix, same goes. The flasher doesn't ask the ipl or flash0/1 what's there - it tells it what to PUT there. Sony STOCK firmware flashes won't go backwards most of the time, but that is a huge difference, and that is also why the flasher DESIGNED for recovery mode was included in most major updates.

 23.  » PERFECT RECOVERY FOR BRICKED PSP

first go to 303oeflasher the file that came with the 3.03 OE-A custom firmware and get the EBOOT.PBP and put in recovery folder 2 thing to do is get the 1.5 and 3.03 firmware and rename 1.5 to 150.PBP and 3.03 to 303.PBP and put in recovery folder 3 thing to do is put the data.dxar this is the file that you made when you put the 1.5 3.03 to getter and put that in to the recovery folder and then run program in recovery mode.

if you dont have the data.dxar go and get the oeupdmaker and get the EBOOT.PBP in there and the 1.5 and 3.03 and re name 150.PBP and 303.PBP and run run program in recovery mode it works if its bricked.

Sorry about the last post I’m kind of sleepy at this moment. don’t put ANY KIND OF FOLDERS in the RECOVERY FOLDER just the EBOOT and data.dxar and the 1.5 and 3.03 in there and I know this works because I did it be for. PS MAKE SURE YOU RE NAME THE 1.5 and 3.03 AND THIS SHOULD WORK ON THE OTHER versions!
