Ó

I think Dark_Alex has done an outstanding job in making these OE firmwares, but like most things theres still room for improvement.

I think the Playstation emulation hack should now be left as I can't really see any room for improvement, heres what I think should be changed,

Video: 480x272 videos should be playable from the "mso:VIDEO" folder, just to make copying and viewing easier instead of having these huge filenames like "10000MAQ.MP4" it makes no sense! and im sure could easily be changed. Also .avi support of all resolutions would be nice but lets not walk before we can crawl.

Music: Not using the PSP as a music player im not to sure what could be improved.

Pictures: Again not to sure about this, I would like to see a port for the camera plugin to let people plug there web cams or other things. But that is not an essential.

Settings: There should be some OE settings added to the settings tab this would make it a lot easier I think.

PSP In General: A file reanamer put in the same place you see "Play", "Delete" and "Information" this would great! and also, a file browser in the XMB, im not sure if this is possible in this stage in time but if it is! I would love to use it more instead of having to plug my USB cable in every minute. Thanks for reading this, it was my first blog here at QJ.net!

first blog and alrdy so demanding lol jk anyways avi support would be awesome IMO the PSP isnt that bad of a mp3 player The only bad thing is its size. Support of music files isnt bad since it supports wma, mp3, atrac3. Who rly wants to carry a webcam around. Avi support will make my day. The PSP is a very good system in general. It has everything i need besides a faster web browser, video file support, and hdd support. Everything else is perfect. It just needs a keyboard for hardware and it'll be great LOL

 2.  » nice

i totally agree on the .avi support, it would be really awesome and would save hours and hours of converting, and the videos would look the good and not all stretched and deformed from the resize, and the folder thing would be nice, to just put it in the video folder and name it what you want. and the file naming would be nice, but i could always live with out it, what i mostly want is the avi support, what would be cool is a way to custom make you own firmware, like choose your own feature that you want from a list and have it generate you own specific custom firmware, that would be great. maybe someone could give it a try at making one.

I'd like to see more room for plugins. I have noticed that I can only have 10 plugins loaded at a time between vsh, game, and pops.

"BLAH BLAH BLAH .. demands demands demands... just be happy with what chu got."

I don't think anyone is demanding anything. I see these comments as suggestions more than anything and if we all just decided to be happy with what we got then there wouldn't be any custom firmwares to begin with, now would their?

 12.  » some of the stuff can be done

You can already play music in the xmb and do other tasks with mp3 module for custom firmwares. but some of the stuff you said like file renamer, file browser, and recovery settings in the firmware is not possible (at leats i dont think) those need to be hacked through the flash and you need extra icons which can't be done yet. so maybe that can happen, but just not now

Yeah, someone should make all video media files compatible with the PSP somehow - like PimpStreamer does from a computer, but converted on the PSP itself that would be awesome.

Also I want a custom web browser that has flash9 plugin for youtube videos and webcams!

 14.  » i'd like to see this ^^

I have no real clue if it already is out there, but for what I have seen it ain't yet. I'm really seeking some way to connect a usb stick or maybe usb hard disk and switch filesto my memory stick. This would mean I don't need to buy the retarded 326 bugs 8gb stick and I could just go to the shop buy a usb external harddisk and ding I could place everything on it. Then when I'm borred of the stuff on my psp I could just plug in my usb stick get the files on my memorty stick and play. So the files run from the stick, but I can have all the stuff on my usb stick or harddisk. SO in some way just a file browser that can grap external files from usb.

 15.  » Suggestions

1. AVI / 3GP / MP4 / OGG support
2. Expand the Equalizer (10 band equalizer with mega bass)
3. Add PDA functionality like Calendar, Calculator, etc (Just like mobile phones)
4. Add a more flexible theme functions with audio (This will lessen the occurrence of PSP brick)
5. Support for fast SATA3 high capacity external/internal HD (iso games are so big and even the 8GB memstick is not enough. A HD in UMD cartridge would be nice.)
6. Increase the PSP ROM/RAM (it will give more space to homebrews and future expansion)
7 Give third party the rights to develop softwares/hardware mentioned on this list.
8. Sony should be more receptive to the suggestions of its consumers and try to implement it on the next iteration of its products.
9. Please lower the price. This will surely increase their sales.
10. Make a louder and bigger hi def built-in speakers and provide an in-ear earphone . A bluetooth earphone is even better.
