Grand Theft Auto IV Cheats! (Including helicopter!)

All you GTA IV owners out there know that it's pretty fun to mess around on GTA once in a while, agreed?

Now you can have even more fun, with multiple GTA cheats to muck around with.

p0Wer (I), has created a video visually displaying the cheats in action for you guys to decide which cheats you want to use! Here's the video:

Here's the full list of cheats and instructions how to use them:

482-555-0100 Restore health
362-555-0100 Restore armour
486-555-0100 Get a selection of weapons
486-555-0150 Get a different selection of weapons
267-555-0100 Remove wanted level
267-555-0150 Raise wanted level
468-555-0100 Change weather
359-555-0100 Spawn an Annihiliator
938-555-0100 Spawn a Jetmax
625-555-0100 Spawn an NRG-900
625-555-0150 Spawn a Sanchez
227-555-0100 Spawn an FIB Buffalo
227-555-0175 Spawn a Comet
227-555-0147 Spawn a Turismo
227-555-0142 Spawn a Cognoscenti
227-555-0168 Spawn a SuperGT
948-555-0100 Song information

How to use the cheats:

Press up on your D-Pad to display your cell phone, and then press up again. From there, enter the codes you see in the video and call the number. If done correctly, it should say "Cheat activated" in the top left hand corner.

As far as I am aware of, Xbox 360 owners will disable a few achievements if the helicopter cheat, health cheat and wanted level cheat is used. PS3 users are safe. So, if you want to use these cheats on your Xbox 360 and still have achievements to accomplish, I'd advise used them on a separate save data.

Is that it from Sony on the PSP?

Is that it then from Sony on the PSP? It seems to be since the fact that we are hardly seeing any future firmware updates and the fact that they are doing nothing to stop homebrew.

So what was the last update? I think it was 3.95, many of us are waiting for the big number 4.0 but when will it be released....after a long time. Then there is the features in the updates, when was the last time we saw a good worthwile feature. It was Skype and that was only available to PSP Slim users, although homebrew developer Fanjita has been working on something called Furikup which seems to be showing no sign of future updates. EDIT: Forgot to mention that Custom Firmware, what do you think Dark_Alex should do, in my opinion he should start developing his own firmware based off Sony's firmware. But then again you would get people complaining that it will never come out and it has many bugs etc.

What is Sony doing to stop homebrew on PSP, not much. As newer PSP models come out they have newer revised motherboards to stop the making of Pandora batteries and such but that is the only thing which they are doing to stop homebrew. I am not being anti-homebrew here but the fact that Custom Firmware is sooo much better and has much more benefits, many reasons why people buy PSP's are for homebrew and the flexibility of it.

Well, that's the end of my first May article.

Silkroad - An Online Adventure

Posted Apr 18, 2008 at 02:09PM by Snaketeeth

Tags: online game, free

Why pay to play WoW every month when you can try a free MMORPG? Silk road is a free game that allows you to form your own style of character with many weapons and equipment, many quests to be done, guilds, trade-runs, and more features and functions being added all the time. The latest European expansion to the game offers another chunk of map, more weapons, quests, everything else, and lead into more expansions to come.

Another update expected in May 2008 will offer more equipment and yet another section of map, to the already huge world!

So what exactly do you do? Well whatever ya want really. If you're a guild master you will try to compete for top guild. Hold guild wars where you fight and battle members of other guilds, take hold of fortresses and so on.

Once you hit level 20 you can take one of three jobs. Trader, Hunter, or Thief.

A traders job is to purchase items from one city and deliver them to another to be sold for a high profit. A hunter's job is to protect the trader from monsters and thieves. The thieves job of course is to kill the trader, steal the loot, and sell the items for %100 profit.

Balance changes are made to the game to keep aspects fair, developers inspect the servers weekly to keep things running smoothly.. special items and other characters are available to purchase with "Silk" which costs real money, but offers nice additions to the game. You can buy animals to collect loot for you or even to help you attack.

The game offers many skills for you to attain and level at your own will. For example if you build a Chinese character, you can choose between blades, glaive, or bow for a weapon. You can also choose ice, lightning, or fire for skills. You can even mix these skills as well. If you want to benefit from some of the lightning skills, feel free to level it up as you wish, while still maxing out your fire skills to deal massive damage. European characters offer more types of characters, and run off a different skill set from Chinese. Europeans offer warrior type characters, rogue, mage, warlock, cleric, and bard. All of which can also be combined as you like.

Completing quests will give you EXP, SP (Skill Points) Gold, items, weapons, all depending on the quest. And will give direction with the game.

The Level cap right now in the game is level 90, but is very hard to reach. This level cap is also occasionally upgraded with game updates.

There are many servers to log on to and play,  however characters are non-transferable. Whatever server you create your character on, is the server you must play on to continue that character.
Though there are many servers it can be difficult to log on to play, but with some searching you can find programs to help you log on faster. Just find the right time of day to log on and you'll be fine, don't give up!

Silk road is an excellent FREE MMORPG, check it out at www.silkroadonline.net

Electronic Arts and Take Two Interactive don't mix

EA's been trying to take TTwo for some time now, which has me a little worried. EA likes making games for the mass market and if they acquire TTwo, it's like we're losing an entire genre in video games. EA fells like a capitalist studio for me. They make some great games sure, but money seems to be too much of a factor for them. They'll market Rockstar's franchises to the masses at large and avoid taking risks so that they'll make as much money as possible. In the end games like Bully and Rockstar will end up like the Sims. I like the Sims myself but they're just two different types of games. They don't mix.

If EA ends up taking over TTwo, which they probably will, I just hope EA would leave Rockstar's creative department alone.

Providing players with some additional performance incentives, the MLB franchise introduces the new Progressive Batting Performance feature, which will both reward players for superior performance and penalize them for hitting slumps. Specific to each individual batter, players will be rewarded with slight contact bonuses, or punished with slight decreases in contact, based on how that batter that performs beyond his "natural ability" while under user control.

PSP Slim Homebrew very limited

Hello again people,

As many of you know that the PSP Slim has been released all around the world and many people are loving it. The Slim has already been hacked to run Custom Firmware and Homebrew. But there is one thing it lacks which is a 1.50 Kernel Addon for CFW's . Many new homebrew applications come out everyday and most of them don't even work on the Slim which is no good because many of us bought a Slim for the new features it holds. To run a 1.50 App, you need to use eLoader which for some unknown reason does not work for me. I have 2 PSP's, one Fat and the other Slim, for me to run my old 1.50 games like Falling Sand and Lemonade Stand I have to use my phat PSP which I don't like using because you have to press hard on the buttons. I wonder if somebody could create a converter then everybody would be happy and nobody would be angry because of applications not working. So a SHOUT to all dev's out there, make all your newer Apps compatible for the PSP Slim. You will make the scene even happier.

Thanks for reading guys, sorry if it's a bit harsh but I am trying to a prove a major point.

Yours Neo-Tech

Sony gone totally insane

Hello,

It's pretty obvious that Sony have gone mad with the PSP. Lately as you may know, Sony have released their Go! Messnger service which is good if it were to work! Yesterday I signed up and when I went to press Confirm, a HTTP 500 Error came up and I got no Confirmation e-mail, so later on the day I tried again and this the Congratulations page came up and I managed to get a Confirmation e-mail as well telling me everything was working. But then I went to sign in on my PSP and guess what message it gave me, Account Verification Failed. Useless to say the least, but neverthless I did manage to get it working this morning and had a chat with some of my friends using IM. One thing I have also noticed is that they say it is only available in Europe and when it gave me the Select Country List it came up with parts of the world which weren't even in Europe. Now this leads me on to another question, why don't Sony release their own SDK like Apple will be doing soon to allow applications made for the PSP, I mean come on, on the Messenger it says something like Thai Open Source, why don't they release the Source.

Oh well that's the end of my rant!

Yours Neo-Tech

Added new option to the Firmware Menu.
Clean Memory Stick for Fresh Install

If you already have either a Pandora or UPMS stick that is working, you can now choose to clean the stick and do a fresh install either as an upgrade or because you want to without having to write the IPL to the stick again or install the fatms371.prx

UPMSv3 Release 2

Posted Feb 26, 2008 at 02:28PM by Denkai

Listed in: PlayStation Portable

Tags: Downgrader, PSP, Dark_Alex, memory stick, installer

Directly copied from UPMS website released on 2-23-08

Latest version of our Pandora easy installer.

Additions include:
More checking and visual notification of installing fatmsmod.

Backing up of PSP's original config.bin files to flash1 so you can easily restore your PSP after installing fatms371.

Added Dark_AleX's TimeMachine to the Utilities Menu.
(Installer don't install TimeMachine directly, so you will still need to edit the created config.txt file)

Now lets the end user choose the default folder to boot after installation.

No need for UPDATE.PBP unless you want to install 1.50 from either Pandora Boot Menu or Pandora Extended Menu. You can now press 0 to ignore the UPDATE.PBP not found message.

Bug Fix:
Fixed a bug where the installer wouldn't install after letting the installer copy the 150.PBP file to UPDATE.PBP

Help to downgrade from version 3.52

Help - I've read so much but am still confused!!! What I have : PSP v3.52

What I want:

  1. PLay current genuine PSP games which require v3.52
  2. Download some games I purchased, to memory and play them

I believe I need to:

  1. Downgrade to v1.5
  2. Install some kind of patch to enable me to still run my genuine v3.52 PSP games

Problem:

  1. Every site I've been too makes no specific mention of v3.52 - v1.5 downgrader, so I'm afraid to run the one offered
  2. Can you downgrade, run a patch and run both downloaded and genuine v3.52 games???
  3. Need one site that will tell me all in simple english, with exact downloadable files what to do.

PSP Homebrew scene quiet

Posted Feb 08, 2008 at 02:52PM by Neo-Tech

Listed in: PlayStation Portable

Tags: Homebrew, PSP, custom firmware

Hello guys,

This is my first ever article so please bear with me if you see any mistakes. Right so for the past few weeks the PSP Scene seems to be too damn quiet. The only things we have been seeing are Dark Alex's Custom Firmwares and old homebrew apps which have not been finished like Portal etc. If you have'nt realised by now, we haven't seen an update in Custom Firmware Extender for 3.80/3.90, AhMan has left the scene for good, not many plugins are being made or converted for the new CFW's. Also the fact that man homebrew developers have made some good applications like XMP and never finished it, games are also as bad because we hardly see any good games come out, we might get a couple like Pulse and others. But today we don't even see Burnout. The Sony PSP Store for the UK is absolutely attrocious and hardly seen any good things.

So here we are then: why is the homebrew scene near to dead, because of the above

Thanks for reading guys!

3.71 M33 + 1.50 Kernel Addon + Locationfree Player!

Hello fellow PSP users! This is JReagles trying to help you with your PSP hopes or wishes.

For those of you who were a little disappointed when they got CFW because it deleted the access to the Locationfree Player, this will help you out.

For some odd reason, PSP developers think that we don't really use the Locationfree Player because it takes up too much space on the flash0.  But we have wasted $200 on a Locationfree Base Station and can not even use it!

Just download this file and read the readme included to help you get your Locationfree Player back.

HELP I think that my psp is bricked

Hi all

Here is my story:

My PSP had some m33 firmware (i dont remember the exact version), i left the firmware installation files in my game directory, so my wife took my psp and "accidentaly" activated the upgrader, she told me that she saw some letters on the screen, after that a black screen came out, she turned off the PSP an turned on again but i never turns on.

I checked it, at the moment that it is turned on it reads a litle the memory stick, the powe green light stays on for ever, the screen stays black with some back light, the turn off button works.

I had tried to access the recovery menu but nothing comes up.

Any help will be appretiated.

Sony DTP-L1500 UMD Test Station on eBay

Listed in: PlayStation Portable, Gadgets

Tags: PSP, Sony Computer Entertainment, Ebay, UMD

Hmm... it seems like someone got a hold of a Sony UMD Test Station and is selling it on eBay! The Test Station isn't anything really big, it just allows you to put in your UMDs or Media CD and play them on the PSP Control, and it's not a real PSP, it's a shell, only the controls and screen work, it's used by developers to test their UMD media. Any way I've included some links to some images of it, read below for the link to the eBay item.

http://www.xynamic.co.uk/ebay/gp5620.jpg

http://www.xynamic.co.uk/ebay/gp5619.jpg

UMD writing is probably not possible but who knows, and also make sure it really is a DTP-L1500, stuff on eBay turns out to be fake, a lot! But he looks like he knows what he's talking about and the images look trustworthy.

Pandora's Battery on 2.71

Listed in: PlayStation Portable

Tags: Homebrew, DevHook, PSP, 2.80, HEN, memory stick

Pandora's battery was quite a hit, but the sad part of it is that you need a homebrew capable PSP to create the battery. Well, if you are on a firmware below 2.80, then you can create one anyway. Here are the steps:

1. Get the 2.71 Update, and update your PSP to 2.71
2. Download the 0.4X Devhook Launcher + HEN-D and install them
3. Download the 1.50 US dump (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/8)
4. Copy the dump to 150 in the dh folder
5. Download Pandora's Battery and follow the readme normally (make a magic memory stick, not a battery)
6. Go to devhook and set the language of your choice. DO NOT make a battery yet
7. Install 1.50 from the following link http://www.sendspace.com/file/a645il (thanks to Erikih for the link)
8. Make a folder in the root of the memory stick named registry and copy the 1.50 devhook registry to that folder
9. Boot into 1.50 from devhook and back up your serial, and then make a battery
10. Shut off the PSP and switch the WLAN up and take out the battery
11. Put the battery in and it should boot into 1.50, to boot into the menu, switch the WLAN down.
12. If it didn't work, when you make the memory stick, if on Vista, then run it as administrator.

Have Fun!

Final Fantasy: Crisis Core REVIEW.

Crisis Core

Final Fantasy Crisis Core is assumed to be one of the best rpgs on the system, does it live up to the hype or is it just another drudge of ciberous?

STORY ?/5
as a member of the power company SHINRA you take the task of preforming several missions all with the overall meta plot of a 1st class solder who is MIA. the story is lost if you don't understand japanese but if you happen to be able to read or listen and understand japanese you will be off all the better. zack sephiroth and cloud are back with some new added faces angel another one of hojo's experiments like sephiroth, and gennises. the story comes acrossesed in vivid voice acting and charecture animations that infuse this title with more drama then final fantasy X had.

Design 5/5
the game has a very liner feel to it like most of the newer final fantasys. the levels as stright forward as they are are not boring at all with plenty of cutscrens thrown in before battles. its quite nice. the game has no paceing issues and is a constent ride that you will not want to put down tell its over.

game-play 4/5
crisis core has a truly active battle system where you run around slashing or casting magic on your enemys while all the time a magical slots wheel is spinning in the bg randomly giving you special moves. the likley hood of these powerful attacks seems to increses with the less health you have. the game play is really smooth.

Presentation 5/5
Crisis Core trows you right into the action with some beautifully rendered cut screens that out shine advent children. and when it gets in game you will be amazed at what graphics this psp title has to offer. the in game grapics are amazing with tons of empises to detail from evoryones gravity defying hair to the creases in zacks pants to his face as he talkes and even individual fingers as some charectures make hand gestures. this game is by far the most graphicly amazing game on the system yet.

overall i cant give a final score as i dont underdstand the story yet. but let me just say this is one of the most amazing games i have ever played... so thats my review.
