Hello,

It's pretty obvious that Sony have gone mad with the PSP. Lately as you may know, Sony have released their Go! Messnger service which is good if it were to work! Yesterday I signed up and when I went to press Confirm, a HTTP 500 Error came up and I got no Confirmation e-mail, so later on the day I tried again and this the Congratulations page came up and I managed to get a Confirmation e-mail as well telling me everything was working. But then I went to sign in on my PSP and guess what message it gave me, Account Verification Failed. Useless to say the least, but neverthless I did manage to get it working this morning and had a chat with some of my friends using IM. One thing I have also noticed is that they say it is only available in Europe and when it gave me the Select Country List it came up with parts of the world which weren't even in Europe. Now this leads me on to another question, why don't Sony release their own SDK like Apple will be doing soon to allow applications made for the PSP, I mean come on, on the Messenger it says something like Thai Open Source, why don't they release the Source.

Oh well that's the end of my rant!

Yours Neo-Tech

(Source coming soon as my site is finished)

new Shuffles

The have the iPod nanos that have a hole new look and now can play videos, has a brighter display. It's a very small device, appearing to be as thin as the current Nano, but shorter and squatter with a wider display.

It will be available in the same colors as the Shuffle.  The new Nano has a 2-inch screen, which is smaller than the current iPod VideoThe new Nano has sort of a split-screen interface, with the familiar file tree on the left with photos or album covers on the right and it keeps the click wheel.

new Nanos

The new Nano has 24 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback. There will be two versions--4GB and 8GB. The 4GB version comes in silver, and the 8GB version comes in all colors. The 4GB version is priced at $149, and the 8GB version will cost $199. That's a price cut over the 8GB Nano currently on sale. They should be in stores this weekend...........Now onto the regular iPod. It's now known as the iPod Classic. The new iPod uses the full metal design of the new Nanos, and they are thinner. The new base model starts off with 80GB, with audio battery life of 30 hours and video playback of 5 hours. There's also going to be a slightly thicker iPod Classic, although thinner than the current fifth-generation iPod. It's going to have 160GB of storage that holds 40,000 songs.  It also has better battery life, with 40 hours of audio. The 80GB was $349, now it's $249. The 160GB will sell for $349, the current price of the high-end iPod. They will be available this weekend.

Apple will indeed be launching a phoneless iPhone, formally known as the iPod Touch. It looks just like the iPhone, with the same size screen but it's thinner.

iPod touch

The iPod Touch has the multitouch interface borrowed from the iPhone, with the same home screen. The music/video interface looks just like the one on the iPhone. It also has the accelerometer that transfers the screen from portrait to landscape mode. It has the same 3.5-inch widescreen display. It will also have wi-fi having the same YouTube application that the iPhone has. O and it also has the same touch-screen keyboard found on the iPhone. The battery life is 22 hours of audio playback, 5 hours of video playback. The 8GB costs $299, while the 16GB will cost $399. Both models will be available this month. There was a conspicuously empty space on the bottom of the iPod Touch's screen, where there is a button on the iPhone. That button is for a new application that will finally allow you buy iTunes songs wirelessly, it's called the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. You touch that button, and you enter an iTunes Store app written for the touch screen. You can buy a song, it goes over the air to the iPod, and then the next time you sync the iPod, the song will transfer to your PC or Mac. It has the same pricing and selection that the normal iTunes Music Store has. This doesn't appear to extend to TV shows or movies.

Apple's Advert

Black Friday has finally come, and along with the mad dash of people at the stores comes Apple's annual 1-day-only sale. Everything in the store is on sale, at least a couple bucks off and some things like the iMacs and MacBooks are over 100 dollars off!

On the new iPod Videos you'll be getting 31 dollars off and the iPod Nano will have a 21 dollars off both which can come with a free laser engraving and shipping. The beefed-up MacBooks are on sale with $101 off, yet strangely the newer MacBook Pro's ae not on sale at all. Could Apple be trying to promote the MacBooks more now or just get rid of their remaining stock?

In any case head on over to the Apple store to see a full list of what discounts you can be getting and maybe you'll be picking up an iPod for a loved one and with the extra cash your saving why don't you go ahead and get two?
