pspmodify.com

Well, finally with the first year of running the site, PSPModify.com has upgraded. After Looking into different ways of upgrading we finally decided to select smf as our site software. With a new theme and improved forums, yes we lost most of our members but we are looking for more. We are moving into the PS3 scene more than the PSP scene, posting news based on pretty much all aspects of the PS3 System.

Furthermore, Staff positions are avaliable! For information on these please referre to the forums on our site. Feel free to sign up and post.

We still have upgrades to make and improvements to happen in the forums. We would appreciate feedback on the site if possible.

Furthermore, we now have a Sub Website involving music downloads and featured music articles. Plus exclusive posts in our forum!

Feel free to visit and sign up to these sites, we are a laid back site who are not bothered about post counts and double posting etc... (obviously to a certain point) and anyone is welcome =]

Thanks for your time

Hmm... it seems like someone got a hold of a Sony UMD Test Station and is selling it on eBay! The Test Station isn't anything really big, it just allows you to put in your UMDs or Media CD and play them on the PSP Control, and it's not a real PSP, it's a shell, only the controls and screen work, it's used by developers to test their UMD media. Any way I've included some links to some images of it, read below for the link to the eBay item.

UMD writing is probably not possible but who knows, and also make sure it really is a DTP-L1500, stuff on eBay turns out to be fake, a lot! But he looks like he knows what he's talking about and the images look trustworthy.

-Over 2,000 High Resolution PS3 Wallpapers

Hey everyone at QJ! I've worked pretty hard last Three days to make this PS3 Wallpaper Gallery website so that people can Browse through over 2,000 Wallpapers in lots of Categories so know you do not have to download huge Wallpapers packs anymore. Just browse for the one's you really want and download  them. The website is actually viewable on the PS3 Internet Browser and you are able to save Wallpapers from the website straight to your PS3 system ready for you to use! So you don't even need a PC. But for those who don't have a Internet Connection for their PS3's, they can easily access website on their PC's and save their Wallpapers on USB and transfer them over to their PS3's.

Anyway, i hope you like what i have worked hard for last few days. All good for the PS3 Community here at QJ!

Avi format for PSP

Today on Sony's PlayStation website, I noticed a new video that has been posted for the PSP. The video displays that the PSP is able to play AVI files. The Playstation Portable is only known to be able to play MP4 and AAC video formats, however the video shows that the AVI format can be played.

Check out the link below!

First of all: my goal in this post is to be 100% neutral and bias-free.  My preferences may come out subconsciously, but this is not a psychology class, so I won't go into that.  Just trust me when I say that I am not trying to push my console preferences.

It happens every time new consoles come out: the console wars heat up and gamers take their choices in consoles very seriously.  It leads to insults (look at the comments of any console wars-related post on QJ), stress, and distraction from the entertainment of gaming.  We are all guilty of it.  You, me; even the people who repeatedly state the same kind of thing I'm saying right now are soldiers in the console wars.  But as a gamer since the 16 bit days, I can tell you that I never first picked the console that would eventually win until the DS (and that war isn't technically over yet), but I've still loved every console I ever had.  The console wars mentality is a problem, and as I hope to explain in this post, meaningless.

Reasoning and explanation after the jump.
