As of five o'clock yesterday, all store managers were sent a email in regards to the Legendary Edition of Halo 3. Due to its size and the vast amount of reserves, today will be the very last day to issue peoples pre-orders. If you have not reserved it thus far but plan to get the extra accessories and gaming goodies, i strongly suggest you rush to the nearest GameStop, EBgames etc. in order to get a copy guaranteed to yourself. Just thought you guys might be interested |

C-NET has recently posted an article comparing the consoles of the soon-to-be chaotic next-gen war. They've listed their scores for each console, the reader's scores for each consoles, and the pros/cons of each. Here's the verdict: Score: 8.8 User's Score: 7.1 Summary: "Sony's PlayStation 3 may be the most expensive next-gen game console, and its launch titles are not all that impressive, but its swanky design and bevy of features, including a Blu-ray drive, make it hard to resist--even at $600." XBOX 360 Score: 8.4 User's Score: 7.5 Summary: "The Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features. " Score: 8.0 User's Score: 8.1 Summary: "It lacks the graphical prowess and rich media features of the Xbox 360 and the PS3, but the Nintendo Wii's combination of unique motion-sensitive controllers and emphasis on fun gameplay make the ultra-affordable console hard to resist. " -------------- Obviously, this is just just the thoughts of one site. From this, we can see that the PS3 offers a lot attractive bells and whistles, but at a high cost, the Xbox 360 is a well-rounded console at a more affordable cost with multimedia features, and the Wii is a friendly, affordable console that lacks in the technical areas but is banking on a new way to play games. At least from what I can tell, is that the PLAYSTATION 3 is something many people would want, but the high-cost is a reeeal downer. The Wii receives the best user-scores most likely because of its lower price and new controller. We'll all just have to see what happens! :D |
