Hello again people,

As many of you know that the PSP Slim has been released all around the world and many people are loving it. The Slim has already been hacked to run Custom Firmware and Homebrew. But there is one thing it lacks which is a 1.50 Kernel Addon for CFW's . Many new homebrew applications come out everyday and most of them don't even work on the Slim which is no good because many of us bought a Slim for the new features it holds. To run a 1.50 App, you need to use eLoader which for some unknown reason does not work for me. I have 2 PSP's, one Fat and the other Slim, for me to run my old 1.50 games like Falling Sand and Lemonade Stand I have to use my phat PSP which I don't like using because you have to press hard on the buttons. I wonder if somebody could create a converter then everybody would be happy and nobody would be angry because of applications not working. So a SHOUT to all dev's out there, make all your newer Apps compatible for the PSP Slim. You will make the scene even happier.

Thanks for reading guys, sorry if it's a bit harsh but I am trying to a prove a major point.

Yours Neo-Tech

(Source will be coming soon after my website has been created)

Ó

I will state this once and only once:

If you don't know how to use the downgrader, and are afraid of the bricking of you psp, don't try this.
Otherwise, those of you willing to bite the bullet follow these instructions, courtesy of zozodouce of the "psp-hacks" website (look in the comments under the 2.80 downgrader video, and look in the far bottom for the comments.

The following requires:
2.80 Easy Downgrader (courtesy of csfreakno1)
A computer
A Playstation Portable Firmware 2.80, not sure of (2.81+ and higher psps)
and a USB cable

The instructions as "zozodouce" said them (I will place parentheses and comment on the side if I think they need any more explanation)

ok people the english version

Instructions:

If you do use that easy install then MAKE SURE that you use xLoader rather then eLoader.(in reference to the downgrader of Ookm's and the easy downgrader as shown above)

IF YOU LOAD eLoader THEN YOUR PSP WILL BRICK

Here is just a QUICK guide to the easy installer

1) Format memstick with a 2.8 NON TA-082 PSP.(recommended)

2) Connect PSP via USB and run easy installer.

3) Select PSP drive in the easy installer and let it install the files.(as in you psp root directory: x:root (or the first thing you click and see once your computer detects your psp)

4) Turn off your PSP.

5) Turn on your PSP and goto PHOTO -> Memory stick -> xLoader 280. (give it a 2 second wait before pressing X on the psp, it works better that way I've found using the Tiff exploit.)

6) You should see two icons in the xLoader 280 folder. If xLoader loads correctly then nothing should happen. If it fails then MS will blink and then PSP will crash.(but still be usable in that you can try again.)

7) Once xLoader is run successfully, goto GAME -> MEMORY STICK and run the downgrader.

8) You should see the DG menu.

9) Pray to God and cross your fingers.

10) Hit O to start DG.

11) Wait for it to say Finished. PowerOff to exit (do anything to touch it before that happens including: removing the battery pack, disconnecting the power supply and touching things around it in general)

12) Hold Power switch up untill psp is completely off.(longer than 4 seconds)

13) Pray again.

14) Turn on PSP, you should now get a Blue Screen Of Death so press O to reset settings.

THIS DOWNGRADER IS NOT FOR TA-082 USERS

CONGRATS! You should now have a 1.5 PSP..

WARNING: I STILL RECOMEND AGAINST USING THIS  YOU SHOULD JUST WAIT FOR A FOOL PROOF DOWNGRADER I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILTY IF THIS GOES WRONG (and neither do I)

There you will find the installer and a translated read me( as in take the readme from the easy downgrader and use a translator to translate)

Thank you

And that's it, you should now have a 1.5 psp.

***

Strictly not for 2.81+ users, not meant for 2.81, 2.82, etc.

If you remove any part of the power supply during the downgrade, you will most certainly have bricked your PSP

The best way to tell if you have TA-079 - TA-081 PSP is to check the motherboard under the UMD tray. (if it says IC1006 around the left side of PSP, when looked at from the UMD/PSP ring side you have a usable PSP for the downgrade, but if it says TA-082 around the right side, don't use it.
And just as well for any other 2.80 users, the easy downgrader derives for 0okm's downgrader, so anybody that uses it for anything higher or lower than TA-079 - TA-081 you are most certainly guaranteed a brick, so please don't be a newbie, idiot, or other synonym for newbie else you are most certainly guaranteed a brick.

***
Just as another warning for any other general a**es out there who work to put the blame on developers, Don't be an idiot and blame the developer, it's not like they have that much money, time, or hell even a desire to help out the people in the PSP community. They work hard to provide us with games, downgraders, and special programs, etc. for our PSPs, and they do it for free, and of their own free will to be nice. If you want to blame a developer, go right the heck ahead, but remember that you as the user:
a.) Chose to download the program.
b.) Have no express right to blame the developer.(even 0okm, else you could kiss a dev goodbye)
c.) Chose not to follow the instructions correctly.

Otherwise, happy holidays and welcome to the 1.5 FW 2.8ers.

Peace,
Shadow Man.

Do you believe in miracles? A TA-082 downgrader has been officially released today by a dev named, dark_thug! This downgrader is for use with 2.50 TA-082 PSPs. TA-082 users with 2.6-2.71 can downgrade to 2.50 using the Generic Downgrader. Alright, so here's how it works:

1. Use the DAX generic downgrader to change your ver. to 2.50 if it isnt already.
2. Downloaded the 2.50 TA-082 Check & Dump v1.20 to dump your firmware.
3. Enter your settings in the executable. Here is an example:
http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/1354/ta082dgvp8.png
4. It will generate the downgrader. Copy the folder ?UPDATE? (the folder it makes) to x:/PSP/GAME
5. download eLoader and put it on your PSP. Load it from the photo menu.
6. Choose ?UPDATE? from the eLoader menu. This will begin the downgrader. It will patch your bootstrap to make it a 1.5.
7.Reboot your PSP AFTER it has finished COMPLETELY! You should get a blue screen. Hit O and restore your settings.

Here's the files you will need:
http://www.psp-haxors.com/www.psp-haxors.com/wp-content/uploads/TA-082/TA-082_Downgrader.rar
http://www.psp-haxors.com/forum/downloads.php?action=view&did=258
http://www.psp-haxors.com/forum/downloads.php?action=view&did=256

There has been a reported problem with this downgrader however. According to dark_thug: : SE-C may lock-up while playing some games.
The catch? On 1.50, trying to change settings menu gives a Blue Screen of Death.
This means you can simply not change your Video options, System settings, etc."

As with all things that write to flash, there is a risk of bricking, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. QJ, dark_thug, myself, and psp-haxors are not responsible for any bricks!

If all this sounds good to you, try it out and you will hopefully be enjoying a 1.50 or 2.71SE-C PSP!

Ó

Hey all,

This is the start of my 2.80 review thread !! wish me luck ;)

I've been thinking while i sit at my computer here while my psp 2.80 downloads and tests various homebrew.

Well, since the eLoader 0.995 and xLoader came out, i was pretty excited 'bout emulators and cool games to port onto my psp.

Starting with the most important, eLoader 0.995

Kriek-source: noobz

Its really is a good name to name the current eloader and cheers to all 2.80 users ;). Thus far, Kriek has been fairly tasty to me and worked many games ported for 1.5. I've tried gpSP, snesx9TYL, KETM....many more....

Kriek hasn't let me down but im not sure which ones use kernel mode so ill be happy with the one i left on my psp ^^

I was having a look at the files on my mem stick, (of eloader, duh!) and i came across a file : emenu_0995 . This is a picture file and it can be replaced very easily ( dun kill me for changing ur wallpaper, noobz). its juz something i did and i know it's easy but what the heck? heh

1. make your own 480x272 picture ready and add a darkened patch for the names of the hombrew (using paint is simple but cannot be transparent i believe)

2. rename the current emenu_0995 (dont want to lose it do we?)

3. put your pic in the folder ms0:/PSP/eloader

4. rename it to emenu_0995 and you're done ;)

FF 7!!!

I know this is pretty easy and many of u probably did it already but i'd like to share it with those that haven't done it or thought of it =)

NEWSFLASH~

gpSP 0.8 Kai 2.4 FOR 2.8

was realeased shorlt ago!!!

When it sets to 333MHz with user mode, when it is dropped into 222MHz mandatorily, because it is thing, in one for 2.80 it tried

trying to operate with 300MHz.

Just a copy from pspupdates.qj.net.Is this big news? i have not been too sure since some people posted in comments of the main topic that the current gpSP0.8 already runs games at fullspeed.

This is true as Harvest moon, Castlevania, BOF1 &2 run at max speed on my psp!

However, i am unable to load 128Mbit running roms. Pokemon , FFT , Kingdom of hearts, and more do not load on MY psp. Can someone confirm this? (Please put a comment or email me. )

With this? will things work? More later as i am testing this out at present. I have been unable to play these roms still with the new gpSP .Could someone IM me if you have any info? I changed my clockspeed to 300MHz using snesx9TYL.Correct me if I'm wrong please.I'm still very noobish ^^

MORE later~
