A new release of the Ultimate Pandora Memory Stick has been released today.

Release 3 adds the following to the new features to the UPMS Project:

Added new option to the Firmware Menu.
Clean Memory Stick for Fresh Install

If you already have either a Pandora or UPMS stick that is working, you can now choose to clean the stick and do a fresh install either as an upgrade or because you want to without having to write the IPL to the stick again or install the fatms371.prx

The UPMS Project delivers a fantastic way to install Dark Alex's Time Machine 0.1 on your Pandora Stick, while still running DC3, DC4, Hell Cat's Menu (Extended Pandora's Menu) and Joker's Menu. Allowing you to install 3.80 M33-5, 3.71 M33-2, 3.52 M33 and even 1.50 straight from 1 Stick all to the flash, or using Time Machine you can boot to 1.50, 3.40 OE, and 1.50 for Slims from the stick instead of the flash. UPMS Project also gives you many must have homebrew programs from PSPFiler to Red Squarell's PSar Dumper, and much more!

Directly copied from UPMS website released on 2-23-08

Latest version of our Pandora easy installer.

Additions include:
More checking and visual notification of installing fatmsmod.

Backing up of PSP's original config.bin files to flash1 so you can easily restore your PSP after installing fatms371.

Added Dark_AleX's TimeMachine to the Utilities Menu.
(Installer don't install TimeMachine directly, so you will still need to edit the created config.txt file)

Now lets the end user choose the default folder to boot after installation.

No need for UPDATE.PBP unless you want to install 1.50 from either Pandora Boot Menu or Pandora Extended Menu. You can now press 0 to ignore the UPDATE.PBP not found message.

Bug Fix:
Fixed a bug where the installer wouldn't install after letting the installer copy the 150.PBP file to UPDATE.PBP

Hi all

Here is my story:

My PSP had some m33 firmware (i dont remember the exact version), i left the firmware installation files in my game directory, so my wife took my psp and "accidentaly" activated the upgrader, she told me that she saw some letters on the screen, after that a black screen came out, she turned off the PSP an turned on again but i never turns on.

I checked it, at the moment that it is turned on it reads a litle the memory stick, the powe green light stays on for ever, the screen stays black with some back light, the turn off button works.

I had tried to access the recovery menu but nothing comes up.

Any help will be appretiated.

Tnaks

Pandora's battery was quite a hit, but the sad part of it is that you need a homebrew capable PSP to create the battery. Well, if you are on a firmware below 2.80, then you can create one anyway. Here are the steps:

1. Get the 2.71 Update, and update your PSP to 2.71
2. Download the 0.4X Devhook Launcher + HEN-D and install them
3. Download the 1.50 US dump (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/8)
4. Copy the dump to 150 in the dh folder
5. Download Pandora's Battery and follow the readme normally (make a magic memory stick, not a battery)
6. Go to devhook and set the language of your choice. DO NOT make a battery yet
7. Install 1.50 from the following link http://www.sendspace.com/file/a645il (thanks to Erikih for the link)
8. Make a folder in the root of the memory stick named registry and copy the 1.50 devhook registry to that folder
9. Boot into 1.50 from devhook and back up your serial, and then make a battery
10. Shut off the PSP and switch the WLAN up and take out the battery
11. Put the battery in and it should boot into 1.50, to boot into the menu, switch the WLAN down.
12. If it didn't work, when you make the memory stick, if on Vista, then run it as administrator.

Have Fun!

This is a video that I saw on youtube and I thought I would share it with everyone because it is only uploaded 2 hours ago.

Its a video of someone unbricking a psp without a custome firmware, and i think its how sony unbricks a psp.

In the video the screen shows an option to aloww acces to the flash by usb.

Don't take this as a fake right away, go watch it first then decided.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoW9BZUO5MA

Below is quoted from http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&thread.id=2997591

"I have found some exciting news about an unbricker for the 1.5 psp bricked with the fameous app X-flash (which could brick ur psp) that was made 2 days ago. This info i received on a english site of bjwil3. The source u will found below this post. U can also view a video of the whole process made by Skeeder.

On the video u will see written in french that it's possible to use any app on the bootup of a bricked psp... But on the tutorial of bjwil3's site there u will see that a psp with 1.5 fw bricked with x-flash is needed for the unbricker to work properly.

The idea of the process is too flash ur psp to a 2.0 firmware with the needed files that i will mention later on and after that u can easily downgrade again to a 1.5 firmware.

TUTORIAL:

NEEDED files/things before getting started:

- First Watch Video (at end of post)
- PSP must be fully charged + plugin ur charger so it wouldn't die on u in the process
- Clean your memory stick before starting Backup files and folders first b4 doin' this
- PSP with 1.5 fw bricked with x-flasher HERE
- The File 1.50.flash which u can get HERE
- Firmware 2.00 or 1.50 eboot which u can download HERE or HERE
- Pc to put the needed files on your psp (Multi-card reader/writer and/or printer needed).

PRACTICAL OPERATION:

1) REMEMBER put the charger in your PSP!!! Your battery "must" be full
2) Put the 1.50.flash file in the ROOT of your PSP's memory stick
3) Place the 2.00 or 1.50 firmware (EBOOT.PBP) in ur memory stick directory: PSP/GAME/UPDATE --> If there is no UPDATE directory than make one
4) Turn your psp on and PRESS ALL the following buttons down and KEEP them PRESSED: Triangle, Circle, Square, Cross, L , R AND MAKE repeaditly Circles with your D-pad(not the joystick) of the psp like in the video
5) You will now see a blue screen with options --> Choose the option with the Eboot sentence like in the video and press X (cross)
6) Now your psp will update to 2.00 or 1.50 firmware! -->After process u will have the 2.00 or 1.50 firmware on ur psp.

U can find bjwil3 his site (source) HERE
And u can find the video HERE"

QJ Modderator please put this on front page because i belive this to be true.
